At CHASENBOSCOLO, we proudly share our time and resources to support charitable initiatives and provide professional mentoring opportunities in our community. These efforts benefit people in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., communities that we serve. CHASENBOSCOLO has a long history of caring for our community. Over the years, we’ve donated resources and countless hours to local charities and initiatives. We proudly support the following organizations and community causes. We know how important it is to give back to our community, and we make it our priority to help those in need by donating to local charities and participating in nonprofit events

Current Events

Ronald McDonald House Charities

We donate toys to RMHC DC every year around the holidays. Our team selects toys that remind us of each other and then a group of us will go to RMHC in DC and donate the toys.

Toys for Tots

We have supported/participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program for the last 10 years by donating a truck full of toys for children in need.

Southern Maryland Food Bank, Capital Area Food Bank, & Maryland Food Bank

Every year (usually in November) we donate either food or give a monetary donation to help those at risk of going hungry.

Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc.

Every year during the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) conference we host a happy hour and raffle. Prizes donated by our team are raffled off and the proceeds are donated to Kids’ Chance of MD.

(SOME) So Others Might Eat – America’s Trot for Hunger

Every year we participate in, and sponsor America’s Trot for Hunger presented by SOME to help fight poverty and homelessness.

American Heart Association

Our law firm has an annual Valentine’s Day tradition of selling “candy grams” to benefit our local chapter of the American Heart Association. For just a dollar, employees can purchase a Valentine’s Day card and a piece of candy for their co-workers. All proceeds are donated to the American Heart Association.

Lyn and Barry Chasen Fund Scholarship

Established in 1990, the Lyn and Barry Chasen Fund Scholarship is awarded to graduate students or third or fourth-year undergraduate students at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

Veterans Day Appreciation Pre-Game Event

Every year we partner with the Washington Capitals and Monumental Sports to host a Veterans Day Appreciation Event.

Pumpkins for a Cure

Every year we have a pumpkin decorating contest in October to benefit breast cancer patients. For every pink pumpkin submitted, we donate to an organization that supports them while they are in active treatment. This year we donated $50 per pumpkin ($1200 total) to The Pink Fund.

Lawyers Have Heart

Every year we participate in the Lawyers Have Heart 10k, 5k, & Fun Walk. The funds raised go toward supporting the lifesaving research, education, and community programs of the American Heart Association.

Fairfax Law Foundation – Heroes vs. Villains 5K

Every year we participate in the Fairfax Law Foundation’s Heroes vs. Villains 5k. Per Fairfax Law Foundation - “Proceeds from the event will help the Fairfax Law Foundation sustain a Pro Bono Program that provides legal services for impoverished Fairfax County residents and law related education programs for local students, including court tours for 8th grade students and children’s mock trials”.

Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc. – Bowling Fundraiser

In 2025 we sponsored a team for the Kids’ Chance bowling fundraiser.

ChasenBoscolo Backpack Drive

Every year we fill backpacks with supplies and give them out to children/families in need around back to school time. This past year, we gave away 150 backpacks. 50 were given to the Children’s Aid Society in Charles County, 50 were handed out at our booth at the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival, and 50 were handed out at our booth at the Dulles Day Plane Pull and Festival.

Firefighter, Nurse, and Police Appreciation

Every May we fill baskets with various treats and deliver them to our local heroes to say thank you for their dedication and service. This past year we delivered 12 baskets to our local firefighters, nurses, and police officers in Greenbelt, Waldorf, and Fairfax.

$4,200,000 Construction Accident

Tom Teodori helped settle a claim for more than $4,200,000 for a Prince George’s County man injured at a construction site.

$2,500,000 Workers’ Compensation

ChasenBoscolo’s client suffered catastrophic injuries when he fell two stories while working on a roof in Richmond, Virginia. The accident left him with a severed spinal cord and resulted in the partial amputation of his right leg. Our client was told he would never walk again and would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The ChasenBoscolo team fought to get our client the compensation he deserved, ultimately recovering over $2.5 million in medical benefits and wage loss compensation. Now, after years of intense rehabilitation and the use of a state-of-the-art prosthesis, our client is able to walk again and is ready to begin his new life.

$2,250,000 Auto Accident

John T. Everett obtained a $2,250,000 personal injury settlement for a client who was driving his work vehicle when another driver crashed into his back at a high rate of speed. As a result of the crash, the client suffered serious injuries which continue to require future treatment and future of loss of earnings.

$1,400,000 Personal Injury

John Everett obtained a $1,400,000 settlement for a client who was pushed down a flight of stairs and sustained right leg injuries leading to a partial amputation. Our client was providing foster care to a troubled foster child.

$1,165,000 Workers’ Compensation

ChasenBoscolo recently secured $1,165,000 in a Virginia workers’ compensation claim for a worker from El Salvador who sustained serious injuries falling from a roof.

$1,000,000 Athletic Injury

Ben Boscolo recovered $1,000,000 for a hockey player who sustained a career-ending concussion. The insurance company fought the case arguing that the player retired and was not forced from the game due to his head injury.

$1,000,000 Auto Accident

John Everett obtained a $1,000,000 jury verdict for a client who was struck in a head-on collision and suffered a broken thumb, back strain, and severe psychological injuries. Before trial, the insurance company offered $12,000.

$1,000,000 Athletic Injury

Ben Boscolo obtained a $1,000,00.00 settlement for a professional hockey player who suffered a career-ending concussion. The player purchased a career-ending disability policy from Lloyds of London. After the player was injured, the insurance company did not want to pay him the benefits he had purchased. The insurance company claimed both that the player was not disabled and that his problems were not the result of the concussion he suffered, but from repetitive head injuries.

$979,160 Workers’ Compensation

Benjamin Boscolo secured $979,160 in a Maryland workers’ compensation claim for a phone company technician who suffered multiple physical and mental injuries when assaulted by a co-worker.

$925,000 Medical Malpractice

John Everett obtained a $925,000 settlement in a wrongful death claim where a healthcare aide burned his client in a bathtub. The client later died following his skin graft procedures. Case value was capped by the Maryland medical malpractice statute.
