We donate toys to RMHC DC every year around the holidays. Our team selects toys that remind us of each other and then a group of us will go to RMHC in DC and donate the toys.

We have supported/participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program for the last 10 years by donating a truck full of toys for children in need.

Every year (usually in November) we donate either food or give a monetary donation to help those at risk of going hungry.
Every year during the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) conference we host a happy hour and raffle. Prizes donated by our team are raffled off and the proceeds are donated to Kids’ Chance of MD.

Every year we participate in, and sponsor America’s Trot for Hunger presented by SOME to help fight poverty and homelessness.

Our law firm has an annual Valentine’s Day tradition of selling “candy grams” to benefit our local chapter of the American Heart Association. For just a dollar, employees can purchase a Valentine’s Day card and a piece of candy for their co-workers. All proceeds are donated to the American Heart Association.

Established in 1990, the Lyn and Barry Chasen Fund Scholarship is awarded to graduate students or third or fourth-year undergraduate students at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

Every year we partner with the Washington Capitals and Monumental Sports to host a Veterans Day Appreciation Event.

Every year we have a pumpkin decorating contest in October to benefit breast cancer patients. For every pink pumpkin submitted, we donate to an organization that supports them while they are in active treatment. This year we donated $50 per pumpkin ($1200 total) to The Pink Fund.

Every year we participate in the Lawyers Have Heart 10k, 5k, & Fun Walk. The funds raised go toward supporting the lifesaving research, education, and community programs of the American Heart Association.

Every year we participate in the Fairfax Law Foundation’s Heroes vs. Villains 5k. Per Fairfax Law Foundation - “Proceeds from the event will help the Fairfax Law Foundation sustain a Pro Bono Program that provides legal services for impoverished Fairfax County residents and law related education programs for local students, including court tours for 8th grade students and children’s mock trials”.
In 2025 we sponsored a team for the Kids’ Chance bowling fundraiser.

Every year we fill backpacks with supplies and give them out to children/families in need around back to school time. This past year, we gave away 150 backpacks. 50 were given to the Children’s Aid Society in Charles County, 50 were handed out at our booth at the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival, and 50 were handed out at our booth at the Dulles Day Plane Pull and Festival.

Every May we fill baskets with various treats and deliver them to our local heroes to say thank you for their dedication and service. This past year we delivered 12 baskets to our local firefighters, nurses, and police officers in Greenbelt, Waldorf, and Fairfax.
